[rhn-users] Installing a package

I think this is a trivial problem...
On a server that has gcc installed (also a fairly elderly RH3 server)
asitest:~$ rpm --query --file /usr/bin/cc
gcc-3.2.3-59
But on this server where I need to install gcc,
[root at webdev] /root # up2date --install gcc-3.2.3-59
Fetching Obsoletes list for channel: rhel-i386-as-3...
Fetching rpm headers...

The following packages you requested were not found:
gcc-3.2.3-59
I have also tried just 'up2date --install gcc' but with the same effect.
I know gcc-3.2.3-59 exists, because it is installed on other boxes. I
am thinking that the -59 at the end is the revision number (a la Sun
patches) but 'up2date --install gcc.3.2.3' did not work either.
BTW, I did register this box with the RHN...
How do I get gcc installed?
