[rhos-list] [techsupport] Case #00784007 (libvirtd libvirt-0.9.10-21)

Hi Redhat support team,
 I have uploaded the libvirtd debug error log and the core dump of the libvirtd to "https://access.redhat.com/support/cases/00784007". Please analysis the log and update us the status.

Note: now the case is Sev 1,  we need the updates based on the Sev1 support timeline.

Redhat Support:
Openstack has nothing to do with libvert.

What is it going to take to escalate this to a sev 1?

Hi,

Further to our conversation earlier I wasn't aware at the time that you were using openstack software which has not yet been released by Red Hat.

As such, all unsupported software calls are treated as severity 4 and do not qualify for 24x7 support.

You are lucky that Hannah is working today, so she might be able to give you some help before the end of the weekend. Otherwise our normal support terms have no time limit for unsupported software.

libvirt-0.9.10-21.el6.x86_64

is sporadically dying across multiple hosts in production:

[root at ILOUSE237EBV6 ~]# /etc/init.d/libvirtd status
libvirtd dead but pid file exists

Please advise on the issue and troubleshooting further.
