Well it's not exactly an old feature, it first appeared on 0.5.5cnc3 I 
think :) BTW another little known fact (I only discovered it a couple of 
months ago) is /etc/apt/apt.conf.d where you can drop bits of 
configuration: as an example alsa-kernel package could drop a 
alsa-kernel.conf file in there saying
'RPM::Allow-Duplicated:: "alsa-kernel";'
..so you don't need to have every such detail in the main apt.conf.

P.S. I know I know.. this stuff should be properly documented somewhere - 
I'll try to get some kind of apt-tricks-and-tips page set up once Fedora 
is launched.
