WORKSFORME, rpm-4.1 and later.

Sorry, --define (now --D too) and --eval (now -E too) been there for years.

That still works, particularly if you want unexpanded definition rather than
expanded value.

'Twouldn't be hard to add primitive to stop expansion recursion at level N.
