We need to know the exact page that gives you troubles -- it affects
whether it is processed by mod_perl or by tomcat and that in turn
affects where the error message goes.
If the page that gives you Internal Server Error is a .pxt page, the
error message will be in /var/log/httpd/ssl_error_log. If the page is
a .do page, it will be in /var/log/tomcat5/catalina.out.
