Hi

It is best to get hostnames working as spacewalk is fussy about this.

Regards

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] "bad HTTP response code" when kickstarting CentOS 5.2

Hi All,

When I try to kickstart a CentOS installation the following messages appear in VT3 :

ERROR : bad HTTP response code: 401 Unauthorized
ERROR : failed to retrieve http://172.16.213.132/kickstart/ks/label/ks-centos-5-i386

As you can see I do not use a domain name to retrieve the file as I am not using a DNS server (this is a setup using VMWare VM's). I also tried

wget http://satellite.localdomain/kickstart/ks/label/ks-centos-5-i386

from the satellite server but it returns a similair error :

--15:36:03-- http://satellite.localdomain/kickstart/ks/label/ks-centos-5-i386
Resolving satellite.localdomain... 172.16.213.132
Connecting to satellite.localdomain|172.16.213.132|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 401 Unauthorized
Authorization failed.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Greetings,
Willem.
