Ok, there's the problem. Spacewalk requires Java version 1.6.

Check out: https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/HowToInstall

Specifically, the section on the EPEL repository setup:

"Spacewalk requires a Java Virtual Machine with version 1.6.0 or
greater. EPEL - Extra Packages for Enterprise Linux contains a version
of the openjdk that works with Spacewalk. To get packages from EPEL just
install this RPM:

rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/i386/epel-release-5-2.noarch.rpm"

Note that a 64 bit version of that repository exists:
http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/x86_64/epel-release-5-2.noarch.rpm

You should be able to use that to download a version of the JDK that's compatible with Spacewalk.
