[Spacewalk-list] Cannot register clients in spacewalk

I switched to the hostname and now receive time outs:

[Mon May  4 13:00:51 2009] up2date A socket error occurred: timed out, attempt #1

Here are the relevant bits from the up2date file on the client:

hostedWhitelist[comment]=RHN Hosted URL's
hostedWhitelist=

serverURL[comment]=Remote server URL
serverURL=https://xmlrpc.rhn.redhat.com/XMLRPC

disallowConfChanges[comment]=Config options that can not be overwritten by a config update action
disallowConfChanges=noReboot;sslCACert;useNoSSLForPackages;noSSLServerURL;serverURL;disallowConfChanges;

sslCACert[comment]=The CA cert used to verify the ssl server
sslCACert=/usr/share/rhn/RHNS-CA-CERT

Firstly should you be connecting to the DNS name of your Spacewalk
server instead of the IP address? This would depend on what your
server certificate is made out to.

Secondly, did you import the CA cert on the client? Check the
certificate referenced by the value sslCACert in
/etc/sysconfig/rhn/up2date on the client to make sure it's the correct
one to validate the server certificate.
