Hi all,

I have switched from embedded to standalone oracle. Everything seems
to work fine but Monitoring. During startup I get the following error
messages:

nonexistent macro 'NPVAR'
	Starting InstallSoftwareConfig ...  [ FAIL ]

I have noticed that there are some db parameters in the cluster.ini
config file which seems to be relevant for Monitoring and have changed
these as follows:

LocalConfig.0.dbd=Oracle
LocalConfig.0.dbname=$TNSNAME_OF_MY_DB
LocalConfig.0.orahome=/opt/oracle
LocalConfig.0.username=$DBUSER
LocalConfig.0.password=$DBPASS
smonaddr=127.0.0.1
smonfqdn=localhost
smontestaddr=127.0.0.1
smontestfqdn=localhost
scoutsharedkey=$KEY
PhysNode.1.exists=1
notify_scout_start=0

/opt/oracle is empty on this system. May I have to change this to:
/usr/lib/oracle/10.2.0.4/client/ which is the location of the
instaclient?

Or isn't this problem related to the database?

Best Regards
Marcus
