[Spacewalk-list] snippets not interpreting in pre/post scripts

My cobbler snippets aren't being interpreted when they are in %pre or
%post scripts. The "Template" option is checked but the kickstart
files just show this:

%post --interpreter /bin/bash
(
$SNIPPET('spacewalk/1/ni_config')
) >> /root/ks-post.log 2>&1

Other snippets in other sections (e.g. Software) work properly.

Running v1.0 on RHEL 5.4.
