Did you make the changes to sm.xml on the server listed in the bugzilla?

You say you have proxies on 1.2 do they show up in spacewalk as proxies? I cannot get mine to show up.

Keith

Subject: [Spacewalk-list] OSAD Client Restart Problems

Hello List,

I am having problems with restarting OSAD. I currently have a Spacewalk 1.2 installation with Proxy servers. The clients are connected to the Proxy servers. When ever I restart osad or even reboot the server the client doesn't return to an online status within the Spacewalk Web UI. In order to get it back up and online I have to do a rm -f /etc/sysconfig/rhn/osad-auth.conf; service osad restart and then everything comes back up and working again until the next reboot or restart of osad.

I am not sure why I have to do this. The only recent changes that I have made was due to a bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=662593. I have even reverted back to before this issue on my test environment and it still has the issue so I am not sure that this bug is the cause of my issue.

Please let me know if I need to modify something or if I need to do something else. Thank you for your time and have a great day!

p.s (I apologize for the many emails lately. We are going live in a few days and want to make sure all issues are resolved. :))

Kind regards,
JD
