I think your rpm database isn't corrupted you just have installed
openssl.x86_64 twice. Not sure why...

It should be fixed by
  # yum shell
  > remove openssl-0.9.8e-22.el5_8.4.x86_64
  > update openssl-0.9.8e-26.el5_9.1.i686
  > transaction run

% This is weird. It looks like your rpm database is corrupted / confused if it thinks it has the same package (in same arch) in two different versions.
