[Spacewalk-list] Software Channels

I did create channel names, but they didn’t copy and paste from my Spacewalk GUI.

Parent channel name: centos-x86_64-server-5
Child channel name: centos-x86_64-server-5-updates

Jens,
Here’s how I set up my CentOS x86_64 channel:

I created a parent channel first:
Channel Name*:

Channel Label*:

centos-64bit-server-5

Parent Channel:

None

The I created a child channel:

Channel Name*:

Channel Label*:

centos-64bit-server-5-updates

Parent Channel:

centos-x86_64-server-5

Architecture:

x86_64

Then created a repository for the child channel:

Repository Label*

Repository URL*

Label: centos-64bit-server-5-updates-repo
URL: http://mirror.centos.org/centos/5/updates/x86_64/

Then back in the child channel, I selected the repository link and click on the box for the repo to connect the repo to the channel.

Hopefully this helps.

Alan

I would say you did not link the channel to the repo correctly.
Maybe you should just delete everything and have a look at

spacewalk-common-channels

-> /usr/bin/spacewalk-common-channels -u admin -p pass -a x86_64 'centos6*'

Jens
