Hi Michael,
Any thoughts on my follow-up questions? I'd be very appreciative of your feedback.

Thank you,
Jason

Hi Michael,
A few more questions...

About this.. " On the other hand you need to sync RHEL content to Spacewalk server first. To be able to sync that content directly from rhn.redhat.com you need a certificate; this cert is a part of Red Hat Satellite subscription."
 - We need a certificate to be able to sync RHEL clients using Spacewalk, correct? Would we need to purchase a (Satellite) license to do this?

- I had seen this on Spacewalk's FAQ and sounds like Spacewalk cannot be used for RHEL. Could your clarify?
"Can I use Spacewalk to sync my entitlements for Red Hat Enterprise Linux and other Red Hat software products?
No. In order to be able to connect to rhn.redhat.com and satellite-sync Red Hat software content, you need the Satellite product with an active Satellite certificate."

- I had heard that in order to serve out RHEL v5 and v6 repo's in Spacewalk you would need to set up 2 separate servers for each. Is that correct?

- I had heard that RHN Classic is going away in 2017 and moving to Subscription Manager. Will that affect Spacewalk's functionality with RedHat?

Thank you,
Jason

% Hi Michael,
% Thank you for the email. I have read that Spacewalk can manage several different distro's such as Ubuntu and SLES. I am interested in this but also I am interested in serving RHEL x86_64 v5 and v6. Could you tell me if Spacewalk can do that out of the box or does it require some tweaks or changes?

Hello Jason,

Spacewalk is able to manage RHEL systems without any modification.

On the other hand you need to sync RHEL content to Spacewalk server first.
To be able to sync that content directly from rhn.redhat.com you need a certificate; this cert is a part of Red Hat Satellite subscription.
