Hello Friends,

Let'me try to help you. Answers bellow

About this.. " On the other hand you need to sync RHEL content to Spacewalk
server first. To be able to sync that content directly from rhn.redhat.com you
need a certificate; this cert is a part of Red Hat Satellite subscription."
 - We need a certificate to be able to sync RHEL clients using Spacewalk,
correct? Would we need to purchase a (Satellite) license to do this?

1. You can do by different's ways, if you by the subscription (not
license), is better you implement a RHN Satellite and add other OS in your
environment.
2. You can use the package mrepo to add different versions in your local
repo and after execute a rhnpush to your server
3. You can subscribe different OS to download the packages and after
execute the rhnpush to upload the package to your server.

The main point here is the quantity of subscription, for example, if you
bought 10 subscription, you can only update 10 servers, btw if you update
11 or 100 or 1000 you will be not compliance, so you can be judged by the
law. :-)

- I had seen this on Spacewalk's FAQ and sounds like Spacewalk cannot be
used for RHEL. Could your clarify?
"Can I use Spacewalk to sync my entitlements for Red Hat Enterprise Linux
and other Red Hat software products?
No. In order to be able to connect to rhn.redhat.com and satellite-sync Red
Hat software content, you need the Satellite product with an active
Satellite certificate."

As I told, to use satellite-sync (command), you can do this if you have a
valid certificate, btw you can do by different's ways. Pay attention, if
you are not compliance you can get trouble (law). :-)

- I had heard that in order to serve out RHEL v5 and v6 repo's in
Spacewalk you would need to set up 2 separate servers for each. Is that
correct?

Answers above.

- I had heard that RHN Classic is going away in 2017 and moving to
Subscription Manager. Will that affect Spacewalk's functionality with
RedHat?

Have to check, but if you are using RHEL/CentOS4, 5 or 6, you will still
using RHN Classic.

Take Care and Merry X'mas
