[Spacewalk-list] Migration plan to RHEL6 and Spacewalk 2.2

Hi list,

As Spacewalk 2.1 is the final release of Spacewalk on RHEL5, I guess this means that I need to consider migrating my spacewalk install from RHEL5 to RHEL6 at some point after Spacewalk 2.2 becomes available.

Given that I'm sitting on Spacewalk 1.9 at the moment, does anyone have a general idea on how to make the switch? Fortunately my spacewalk database is sitting on an Oracle RAC cluster, so I do not need to move the database.

Would it be a simple matter of installing Spacewalk 2.2 on RHEL6 and then pointing it at the database, or would there be other steps involved to migrate all my data over? I would assume that there is with all the packages...

Additionally would I need to upgrade my current install to 2.1 before migrating the data?

Any ideas?
