Re: [Spacewalk-list] Packages not in a channel

Matthew,

I think that might be the issue.  There are 17142 packages and Log /var/log/rhn/reposync abruptly ends at 16130 packages.  Now I'll have to see if I can't figure out why it failed.

Thank you.

Daryl

Did the sync complete? One of the last steps of spacewalk-repo-sync is to link the packages to the channel. You can check the logs under /var/log/rhn/reposync and /var/log/rhn/rhn_taskomatic_daemon.log to see the progress. Packages will show up in the Packages in no channels view until the sync completes and they are linked to the requested channel.

I stood up a new channel for OpenSuse.  I created repositories and then ran a sync on that channel.  There are over 17,000 packages and they all went to "Packages in no channels".

Why did they end up in this location? I used the -c option and told repo sync which channel to use, but the packages still go to "Packages in no channels".  I've ran this multiple times, but they still end up there.

How do I get the packages to go to the channel that I'm syncing them to?

Thank you

Daryl
