[Spacewalk-list] Spacewalk performance tuning for deployments with 1000+ hosts

no it's a little bit different, it's a rhn proxy (with it's squid inside) and rhn clients are connected to rhn proxy and not to rhn satellite|spacewalk... on the other hand the rhn proxy is connected to your satellite|spacewalk; have a look to:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.5/html/Proxy_Installation_Guide/sect-Proxy_Installation_Guide-Introduction-How_Proxy_Works.html

other solution could be Inter Satellite Synchronization (ISS), but I never tried it:

https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Network_Satellite/5.5/html/Getting_Started_Guide/chap-Getting_Started_Guide-Multiple_Satellites.html

p.s. spacewalk is the upstream of satellite 5.x so you can merge documentations available for satellite on docs.redhat.com with the same documentations for spacewalk available on  https://fedorahosted.org/spacewalk/wiki/UserDocs

best regards

performance ? With every new host spacewalk is getting slowly. Using SSM
with more than 200-300 hosts is impossible due timeouts. It's also not
possible to deploy config files to all hosts.
