Hi,
I would just take the exact kernel version of the "installer" kernel and compile the Cisco module on another server (maybe virtualbox) for that kernel. Then modify the "installer" initrd.
Unpack, put module in modules path (/lib/modules/...), run depmod on that path and repack the initrd.
