[vfio-users] Soft lockup on archlinux 4.1.10-1-vfio-lts kernel

Based on your email, it looks like you have an ASRock motherboard.  I
also have one myself (Z97 Extreme4) and it would crash on me (not quite
like you describe, but on VM startup) and I upgraded my BIOS.  It
solved my issue and I use the 4.1.10-1-vfio-lts kernel from my repo.

It looks like you are on BIOS version 2.30 and 2.90 is available [1]
(assuming I am correct on your motherboard's model).  I would suggest
trying that and also installing the Intel Microcode images [2] (pacman
-Sy intel-ucode).

Please tell me if this helps.
