Block alignment validation is done at the VM virtual disk/OS level in a
VM for Linux and for Windows 2008 and later not applicable (alignment
done if need by the Microsoft OS installer).  But for Windows 2003 and
older maybe applicable.  So it would be reasonable to always validated
that a VM disk is block aligned.  Be the VM on VMware, Hyper-V (cough),
or KVM.

I was wondering if KVM on fedora suffered from the same type of block
alignment problems that VMware has?  Do users need to be concerned about
block alignment with KVM?
