Upgrade to 4.1.0-15 from updates.redhat.com or by using up2date, 
then add the following two lines to the Device section of your 
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file:

     Option     "XaaNoScanlineImageWriteRect"
     Option     "XaaNoScanlineCPUToScreenColorExpandFill"

That should prevent any lockups.  Also, if your mouse acts funny, 
or leaves mouse poop on the screen anywhere, use:

     Option     "swcursor"
