This is a larger issue with the system's security rules. It seems that
hibernate Restricted entities cannot (should not?) be referenced in the
security rules as it will cause a very obscure exception to be thrown.

The 1.4 branch does not have this problem because hibernate level restrictions
are not active (due to an incorrect location of the orm.xml descriptor).

A temporary fix has been put in place for the 1.5 branch which disables
hibernate level security checks on one of the entities and was causing this
issue. A more thorough and exhaustive fix will be put in place in the current
stable branch (1.4).
