Today’s IT security and operations teams face mounting pressure to ensure IT security in an ever-changing environment. Rapid changes in IT infrastructure, the increasing number of newly disclosed vulnerabilities, the reality of hybrid cloud environments, and the need to deliver business value faster means that businesses must be agile and flexible to keep pace. Join us for a live virtual event focused on Continuous Change and IT Security, on November 16 at 11 a.m. ET.

For communications service providers (CSPs), the network edge is high stakes. There’s opportunity to create new services, better customer experiences, and more revenue, but there’s also plenty of challenges. Recently, in a repurposed industrial space directly adjacent to the on-off ramp for the 101 Freeway over the San Francisco–Oakland Bay Bridge, five execs – from Red Hat, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Intel, Orange and Deutsche Telekom – joined on a panel hosted by TelecomTV to discuss those opportunities and challenges, and give some insights on the future of mobile edge computing (MEC).

Ever-increasing network complexity is driving the need for flexible tools that enable telecommunication service providers to automate their network operations. If you’re looking for automation solutions to support cloud provisioning, configuration management, application deployment, intra-service orchestration, or other areas of your network, join us for a webinar on October 12 at 11:00 a.m. ET to learn how Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) and Red Hat Ansible Automation work together in telco networking environments.

Plenty of enterprises are digitally transforming their operations, and infrastructure as code (IaC) can play a pivotal role in the journey. With IaC, operations teams can automatically manage and provision through code, rather than using a manual process. Much in the same way software developers use application platforms, they can implement DevOps principles such as continuous integration, automated testing, code review, and upgrades for infrastructure deployment. As part of our webinar series on defining and implementing a simplified, fully automated private cloud, we next explore delivering agile IT through automation and IaC. In this October 10 webinar, you’ll learn how to effectively develop and deliver a cloud-native platform and cloud-ready infrastructure using IaC concepts.

OpenStack Summit in Sydney is a month away and Red Hat’s telco team is gearing up for a big presence this year. Red Hat is participating in 10 telco-specific presentations at the summit, on topics ranging from distributed monitoring and analysis, to SD-WAN architecture for OpenStack, to ETSI spec requirements. And of course, we’ll have a variety of sessions on NFV topics. There’s even a user implementation session to share best practices and lessons learned from a real-world OpenStack implementation at a large telco.
We hope to see you in Australia next month, Nov. 6-8, at the Sydney International Convention Centre. Join thousands of people from more than 60 countries, all there to talk about the mix of open technologies and architecting and operating of OpenStack clouds. We’ll be sharing more in coming weeks, but in the meantime visit the OpenStack Summit event site for registration details and a preview of the summit agenda.
