The Fedora 30 beta is here and with it comes new updates for the future of the Fedora operating system. So what's changing in Fedora 30? It's not so much what's changing in Fedora, but rather how the operating system, in general, is changing.

We are pleased to announce that Red Hat Satellite 6.5 is now available in beta to current Satellite customers. The Satellite 6.5 beta is focused on adding Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (RHEL 8) as a supported version, so that when RHEL 8 is generally available our customers can immediately begin using it.

Red Hat and Intel have worked closely to offer new technologies that adapt to the greater demands on infrastructure for platform reliability in 5G and edge networking. Red Hat and Intel are looking to extend cloud architectures from the core to the edge of networks by building solutions SPs need to progress their network transformation projects.

I recently had the opportunity to chat with Red Hat CIO, Mike Kelly and BlueJeans CEO, Quentin Gallivan, to talk collaboration, open source and openness in the digital workplace. With its open source DNA, Mike Kelly intimated that as Red Hat was evaluating providers for video collaboration, it was critical that the technology platform be open.
