IBM: Ginni Rometty, chairman, president and chief executive officer

Since becoming CEO in January 2012, Ginni has led IBM through a reinvention, positioning the company to lead in the new era of AI, blockchain, cybersecurity and quantum technologies, all delivered on IBM’s enterprise-strength cloud platform. Today, IBM is a leader in AI and cloud computing for business, Rometty will join Red Hat president and CEO, Jim Whitehurst, on stage to discuss the future of open hybrid cloud computing.

DBS Bank Limited: David Gledhill, group chief information officer, and head of Group Technology & Operations

For three years, DBS Bank Limited has been focused on its digital agenda that has included many facets from culture change and employee mindsets, to re-architecting technology infrastructure and leveraging Big Data, biometrics and AI. Gledhill will share how, with the goal of making banking more simple and seamless for customers, DBS Bank Limited implemented Red Hat hybrid cloud technologies to build new applications and improve user experiences at a faster pace and deliver quicker enhancements or incremental services offerings to better compete in the digital world.

ExxonMobil: Austen Smack, product owner, Container Platforms

Smack will share ExxonMobil’s journey in implementing a new, stable container platform that is utilized by more than 130 development teams globally. His talk will cover disruptive innovation and how new ways of working lead to adoption of containerization and the paradigm shift that has enabled their customers to go from zero to production in as little as one day. ExxonMobil data scientist, Audrey Reznik, will join Smack on stage to help bring the story to life.

UPS: Ken Finnerty, president, Information Technology

Our 2018 Innovator of the Year winner will join us on the mainstage to share a new story focused on the digital transformation needed to provide a modern customer experience.  In this talk Ken Finnerty will share how UPS leveraged Red Hat technologies including Red Hat Fuse, Red Hat AMQ and Red Hat OpenShift to support the developers ability to design, build and deploy modular software needed to achieve a personalized customer experience, cost efficiencies, and value in the supply chain.

Volkswagen AG: Michael Denecke, head of Test Technology

As one of the world’s largest automotive companies, Volkswagen AG faces challenges related to digital transformation and the next generation of technology, like autonomous driving and connected cars. Denecke will join Red Hat’s John Allessio on stage to share Volkswagen AG’s experience with Red Hat Open Innovation Labs. Through their residency, they were able to develop “Automatic Testing of virtual car Electronic Control Units compositions,” a combined software and hardware system that tests and validates new features of Volkswagen cars.
