Red Hat has made the industry’s leading enterprise Kubernetes platform, Red Hat OpenShift, available as a managed service across major public cloud providers, including AWS, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud and Microsoft Azure. Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated removes the challenges of managing the underlying infrastructure, enabling IT teams to simply focus on building differentiated services and digitally transforming.

With more than six years managing Red Hat OpenShift across multiple clouds, more than any other Kubernetes or cloud provider, we have gained the expertise to more reliably and cost-efficiently build, manage and operate enterprise Kubernetes platforms. Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated is already used by hundreds of customers for managing mission critical workloads across a wide range of industries, from telecommunications and connected driving to insurance and IT services. Today, we are passing these savings on to you.

Today, we’re further enhancing our Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated offerings across public cloud providers with new, reduced pricing and an improved service-level agreement (SLA) to 99.95% availability. As part of this pricing restructure, we’re also expanding the machine types supported by Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated to an unlimited set of instances. This helps us bring Red Hat OpenShift to an even broader set of customer deployment scenarios in the public cloud.

The price reductions come in two forms, one for Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated with Customer Cloud Subscription (CCS) in which customers pay a cloud provider directly for the infrastructure OpenShift runs on, and another for Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated bundled with Infrastructure, where Red Hat handles both the infrastructure and OpenShift management.

Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated with CCS now has a new three-year pricing option and a $263/year per cluster fee (equivalent to $0.03/hour), with worker node price reductions of up to 79% per node with a minimum of two nodes. While the base cluster pricing for Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated with Infrastructure does not change, the cost to add additional worker nodes to this subscription has been reduced by 50%.

In addition to our new pricing for Red Hat OpenShift Dedicated, Microsoft and IBM are also announcing reduced prices for our joint offerings. Azure announced updated pricing for Azure Red Hat OpenShift effective today. Our joint offering with IBM, Red Hat OpenShift on IBM Cloud, will also be reduced as of November.

The price reduction is available in all regions effective immediately.
