Wondering how Red Hat is helping its customers to succeed? Last month we published six customer success stories that highlight how we've helped customers gain efficiency, cut costs, and transform the way they deliver software. Read on to find out how Ascend Money, Heritage Bank and others have worked with Red Hat to improve their business.

Developing a standardized approach to app development and delivery

Ascend Money operates across Southeast Asia with headquarters in Thailand and offices in Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Indonesia. The company builds and releases about 100 apps every day, and the number is growing.

To improve the efficiency of its application processes, Ascend Money decided to migrate its legacy applications to a standardized platform using Red Hat technology. With assistance from Red Hat Consulting, Ascend Money moved both its legacy applications and new cloud-native services to OpenShift Container Platform, providing a single platform for IT and developers to collaborate across cloud environments.

The result? Tasks that previously took 1 week can now be completed in just 2-3 days, and the company can now support nearly 200 developers with a technology operations team of only 6 people. That's not all, though--read the full story about how Ascend Money is delivering services faster with Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Ansible Tower, Red Hat Satellite, and help from Red Hat Consulting.

Speeding IT development and delivery with Red Hat Open Innovation Labs

Heritage Bank is Australia’s largest customer-owned bank, with more than 60 branches in southern Queensland and a network of mortgage brokers in every state and territory in Australia. Heritage Bank wanted to transform from a locally focused bank to a well-known digital financial institution.

To help plan its digital transformation, Heritage Bank engaged Open Innovation Labs in a collaborative residency. Following the residency Heritage Bank delivered a new real-time payment platform for the nationwide New Payment Platform (NPP) 10 months earlier than the average financial institution in Australia.

Digipolis Ghent supports city’s digital services with Red Hat Openshift

Digipolis Ghent provides information and communications technology (ICT) services to the city of Ghent, Belgium. To help the city provide digital self-service capabilities to its departments, citizens, and third-party service providers, Digipolis created a container-based application environment. Based on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and supported by Red Hat storage and management solutions, this platform lets Digipolis and the city more easily collaborate to create self-services capabilities faster and more efficiently. The success of the platform has led Digipolis to embrace an open approach to creating innovative services, supported by open source communities and Red Hat’s expertise. Improving services with APIs

Transports Metropolitans de Barcelona (TMB) manages the public urban rail and bus networks across the city of Barcelona and its surrounding municipalities. To continue improving its services to meet modern user demand, TMB decided to provide access to its data to third-party developers via an application programming interface (API). To support its open data project with robust access controls, the company added Red Hat 3scale API Management to its existing Red Hat environment. TMB can now provide real-time transportation data to its mobile app users and third-party services. Learn how TMB is using 3scale API Management to help improve service quality and customer satisfaction from our full case study.
