Red Hat is proud to announce that Mark Enzweiler, Red Hat's senior vice president, global channels and alliances, has been named to The VAR Guy's Top 50 Channel Influencers of 2015 list. Enzweiler and the others on the list were selected based on the results of a global survey of The VAR Guy readers, who shared their opinions on whom they considered the industry's most influential people.
Enzweiler was recognized for his accomplishments since taking over Red Hat's channel and partner organization in 2006. Specifically, The VAR Guy noted Enzweiler's recent efforts in taking Red Hat's technology “beyond the data center and moving it into other types of devices and areas, such as machine-to-machine communications.” The site also noted Enzweiler's focus on “helping take renewal responsibility off of Red Hat partners' plates so they can focus more on their customers.” Enzweiler was also recognized for his creation of “an annuity model that has garnered praise from (Red Hat's) partners,” and the fact that, under Enzweiler, the company has a number of new and diverse partners, including ISVs.
This is just the latest in a series of recent honors bestowed on Red Hat's channel team and Enzweiler specifically. Earlier this year, Enzweiler was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs by CRN. The publication also named Enzweiler, along with four other Red Hat executives, to its overall 2015 list of Channel Chiefs. This marked Enzweiler's sixth time being recognized as a CRN Channel Chief.
The VAR Guy and CRN honors reflect significant strides made by Red Hat in the channel over the past few years. Red Hat has continued to grow and refine its Red Hat Online Partner Enablement Network (OPEN) and Training Lab Cloud, which are both designed to help partners better understand, deliver, and sell Red Hat's solutions. The company has also introduced innovative new programs like Amazon Test Drives with Amazon Web Services, which are designed to help partners run, test, and demo Red Hat solutions.
Congratulations to Mark and the rest of the Red Hat channel team for these well-deserved accolades.
