Building a well-architected cloud-based foundation with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 on AWS

David Duncan - AWS Partner Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services & Arne Arnold - Principal Product Manager, Red Hat Enterprise Linux for SAP Solutions, Red Hat

Designing a software system is a lot like constructing a building. If the foundation isn't solid, then structural problems can undermine the integrity and function of the software system. When architecting technology solutions on AWS, if you neglect the 5 pillars of operational excellence—security, reliability, performance, efficiency, and cost optimization—it can become challenging to build a system that delivers on your expectations and requirements. Using Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 can help you achieve well-architected excellence at every pillar. This session will discuss how to produce stable, more secure, and lean systems based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux on AWS, and deliver the high-quality elastic experience at scale that your cloud customers demand.
