Caroline Chappell is responsible for Analysys Mason's Digital Infrastructure Strategies programme, which researches the impact of cloud, SDN and NFV on the service provider landscape. She tracks service provider adoption of and migration strategies for these technologies and assesses their potential to enable new revenue-generating opportunities. She is an influential commentator on the new architectures and systems needed for operating virtualized networks and the growing role of open source technologies in network automation.

Caroline has 30 years' experience as a software analyst, covering telco digital service development and delivery, customer experience management and systems integration. Caroline has led major research and consulting projects for communications service providers, vendors, financial institutions and government bodies. She is a sought-after industry speaker and her work synthesizes a broad understanding of ICT innovation with a deep knowledge of telecom market dynamics.

Tom Waldrop is a Global Vertical Practice leader with over 30 years of Information Technology and Telecommunications industry expertise. Tom has been an agent for transformational change through multiple disruptions including the transition from mainframes to client server, the Internet revolution, the convergence of voice and data, the explosion of mobile computing and most recently, the industry shift towards cloud computing. He has learned first-hand that addressing a technology disruption's impact on end-customers, workforce and business processes is an imperative for success.

Prior to joining Red Hat, Tom held various professional services roles at Cisco Systems, Inc including leadership of a practice team responsible for incubating new end-customer services with global service providers that were built on Cisco’s cloud, data center, SDN and network virtualization technologies.  He also held engineering and professional services roles at a succession of technology startups focused on application development toolsets, multi-protocol networking, technology asset management and IT Service Management.
