Presentation Abstract - Stefan van Oirschot from Red Hat shares the story of Anna (fictional) and her restaurant La Pendule, and the ingredients that helped her business win. "Understanding your employees frustrations, knowing how to keep them in their creative flow of producing great foods and beverages that delight customers, by providing the right amount of freedom and flexibility, while still conforming to the company’s standardization, safety and compliance guidelines." Learn how La Pendule by anchoring their technical foundation, creating an ecosystem, enabling a growth mindset and continuous learning, and catalyzing change in behavior is delivering increased business value. BIO - Being in IT for over 17 years and working with Red Hat products for over 20 years, Stefan has been involved in building, architecting and advocating for customers of all sizes. He has spent most of his career helping organizations innovate and transform - from technology-driven, Lean and agile-driven transformations to building modern organizations based on open leadership, community leadership and breaking hierarchies. He is a firm believer and advocate for open leadership and radical management.
He would gladly help you shift perspectives and suggest approaches from Lean Change Management, community leadership and Design Thinking to help kick start cultural transformation journeys. Val has coached a number of executives and middle level managers throughout their cultural transformation journeys.
He pairs passion with work at Red Hat Open Innovation Labs team where he is focusing on the Open Organization, cultural transformations and building high performing product teams through use of agile, Lean UX and DevOps culture.

Presentation Abstract - Most organizations don't have the luxury to start from scratch. The challenge is teaching their lumbering elephant to dance like a nimble ballerina. Digital transformation is a strategic change for businesses. In this session, we will focus on approaches to migrate and develop cloud-ready applications. BIO - Carlos joined Red Hat in January 2013 as a Cloud Consultant to participate and lead the first IaaS initiatives in Spain. In 2016, Carlos became the first Territory Services Manager in EMEA. He led many important transformative projects in Spain, such as BBVA, Inditex and Santander Group, including Container/Automation adoption programs, the first Application Modernization and Migration initiatives in EMEA and people transformative engagements like Open Innovation Labs residencies.
Carlos has been leading the Consulting Architect team in Iberia, for both AppDev and Cloud Infrastructure top professionals, fostering innovation and helping the region to win major deals and support the adoption of Red Hat technologies "the Red Hat way" from 2016 to 2020. Now, Carlos is leading the EMEA Telco's Consulting Partners team and the EMEA TSM Community, focusing on standardization of practices and the evolution of Red Hat Consulting solutions and offerings.

Our experts will do a demo showcasing the Azure Red Hat Openshift solution. Small teaser, we will also announce a joint package which allows our customers to easily try out this great joint offering. BIO - Microsoft Responsibilities – Responsible for the Microsoft Open Source Strategy within Microsoft Western Europe as part of the Azure Business Group. Responsible to ensure Open Source solutions are pushed through the local Microsoft country teams by providing Go To Market plans. This includes Open Source Migration Programs, Application Modernization and Innovation plays including Cloud Native plus Open Source Database Migration/ Utilization. Pre-Microsoft Work Experience – Prior to working for Microsoft he worked for open source companies like Docker and Red Hat where he held several positions. BIO - As Director at Red Hat, Carrie is responsible for Solutions & Architects in the Benelux. She leads the teams of sales specialists and architects with whom she develops and delivers open innovation for her customers. After graduating in Theoretical Physics at Salamanca University, a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Information Technology at Portsmouth University (UK), Carrie started her career at Salamanca University while working on a PhD on Applied Physics, developing the first Digital Labs.
