Craig Muzilla is senior vice president of Red Hat’s Core Products and Cloud Services, where he is responsible for the company’s core products business units, as well as the company’s cloud services and developer offerings. Since joining Red Hat in 2007, his leadership has been instrumental in expanding and driving Red Hat’s strategic product offerings beyond Linux into multiple application development and cloud platform product lines.
Currently, he is responsible for the overall Red Hat Enterprise Linux business, the middleware and application development business, and the cloud services offerings. In addition, he leads Red Hat’s software developer program and tools offerings, its technology partner ecosystem programs, and its vertical markets business unit, including programs in the financial services and telecommunications industries.
Prior to his current role, he held several senior vice president, vice president and general management positions at Red Hat, responsible for leading various offerings, including Red Hat Middleware and OpenShift, where he helped to establish Red Hat as a leader in hybrid cloud platforms. In addition, he drove several acquisitions, helping to expand Red Hat’s product portfolio and technical capabilities.
Prior to joining Red Hat, he held executive positions with both emerging and established technology companies. Most recently, he was a senior vice president at MetaMatrix Inc., prior to its acquisition by Red Hat in 2007. He has been an active member of boards of directors and advisory boards at other emerging technology companies.
