Dutch Supermarket Selects Red Hat and Zarafa’s Communication Platform

Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Zarafa’s Open Messaging Platform Enhances Availability, Reliability and Scalability Amersfoort, the Netherlands – March 29, 2012 – Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, and Zarafa, a leading European company in open source groupware and collaboration software, announced that the Dutch supermarket chain PLUS has selected Zarafa’s Communication and Collaboration Platform running on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 enterprise operating system. The implementation is expected to be completed in early 2012.

Red Hat Announces $300 Million Stock Repurchase Program

Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of up to $300 million of Red Hat’s common stock from time to time on the open market or in privately negotiated transactions. The new program begins April 1, 2012, replacing the current repurchase program that will expire on March 31, 2012. To date, approximately $214 million has been used to repurchase shares under the current program.

Red Hat to Sponsor Open Cloud Conference and Host Developer Workshop on April 30

Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, today announced that it will sponsor the Open Cloud Conference presented by CloudCamps, taking place in Sunnyvale, Calif. from April 30 through May 3.  On the opening day of the event, Red Hat will host developer workshops focused on Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), mobile and Java development in the cloud.  Presentations during the Red Hat-hosted workshops will be delivered by Red Hat cloud experts and partners such as 10gen and Appcelerator.
