Following an event-filled October, Red Hat is bringing its JBoss users and developers conference, JUDCon: “By Developers, For Developers,” to the UK, Oct. 31 – Nov. 1, 2011.
This year’s conference will feature several notable speakers and topics, including a “Middleware Everywhere – Ready for Mobile and Cloud” keynote from Mark Little, Red Hat’s senior director of middleware engineering. There will also be presentations from top JBoss representatives, including members of the JBoss community.
JUDCon 2011: London will also feature extensive discussions designed to help developers better understand and leverage JBoss technologies to achieve their goals. Topics that will be highlighted and demoed include Red Hat OpenShift, JBoss jBPM and JBoss Drools Planner. Additional topics include:
- JBoss Application Server 7 project– This session will focus on JBoss Application Server 7, which is at the heart of Red Hat's JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6.0 product, providing in-depth insight into everything developers need to know about this flagship solution, including configuration, management and application into the cloud;
- Business Rules, Workflow, SOA and Enterprise Application Integration – A discussion about service-oriented architecture (SOA) in the cloud, enterprise workflow solutions using jBPM5 and more;
- Arquillian 1.0 project – Covers what the latest release means to developers and their ability to test applications within the container; and
- Middleware and the Cloud – A lesson about deploying Java EE applications on OpenShift and how Hibernate object grid mapper (OGM) fits into NoSQL solutions, will also include discussions on how the cloud is impacting middleware.
Of course there will be numerous opportunities for camaraderie, including lightning talks and the ever-popular HackFest. And since JUDCon is co-located with JAX London, all JUDCon attendees are welcome at the JAX Community night. A close-knit developer community engaging in thought-provoking discussion about hot topics while having fun – all of the hallmarks of JUDCon will be on display in London.
JUDCon 2011: London will be held at the Park Plaza Victoria. For more information, including registration, visit the JUDCon 2011 website.
