Red Hat was ranked #8 on Fortune’s list of Fortune’s Best Workplaces for Millennials list. Fortune worked with research partner Great Place to Work to help find the best employers for those born between 1981 and 1997—a generation known for appreciating firms with strong values and for changing jobs frequently.

Red Hat was also recognized by Great Place to Work as a center of excellence for wellbeing.

The Top Gun 51 recognizes a new generation of channel executives, those who build and execute programs in a way that drives partner, customer and supplier success. Channel Partners asks distributors, master agents and industry analysts to each nominate 10 executives who they think excel in the following three areas: advocates for the channel model with internal leadership; is committed to partners’ business success; and works to earn trust. Scott Mussen, vice president of Global Strategic Alliances, was honored to make the list. 

Content Marketing InstituteB2B Content Marketer of the Year 

The Content Marketing Awards, produced by the Content Marketing Institute, is the largest and longest-running international content marketing awards program in the world. Red Hat’s senior director of Global Content Team, Laura Hamlyn, received the B2B Content Marketer of the Year award.

Business Intelligence GroupStratus Awards for Cloud Computing 

The Stratus Awards recognize companies and individuals that are proven cloud innovators and leaders in the market.This year, Red Hat won in three different categories. Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform won in the Kubernetes category, Red Hat OpenStack Platform won in the Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) category and Red Hat also won the hybrid cloud category. Each of these wins validates Red Hat’s strength in cloud computing.

ComputingCloud Excellence Awards 

Computing's annual Cloud Excellence Awards recognize the very best of the UK's cloud industry, from the most innovative and compelling products and vendors, through to the top use cases from end-user firms. The winners were decided by a panel of expert judges from industry as well as Computing’s editorial team. Red Hat took home three new awards including: Best Hybrid Cloud Product for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8, Best Cloud Development Platform for Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform 4 and the highlight of the night, Cloud Vendor of the Year.

AI DevWorldAI TechAwards

The AI TechAwards celebrate technical innovation, adoption and reception in the AI, machine learning & data science industry and by the developer community. Winners were selected by an advisory board based on three criteria: (1) attracting notable attention and awareness in the AI, Machine Learning & Data Science industry; (2) general regard and use by the developer & engineering community; and (3) being a leader in its sector for innovation. Red Hat received its Best in Big Data AI award for Red Hat Ceph Storage at the AI DevWorld awards ceremony.

CRNInternet Of Things 50

Software is a critical element in the Internet of Things, allowing companies to collect data from sensors, manage endpoints, analyze trends and take actions that improve how they do business. CRN recently compiled its Internet of Things 50 and named Red Hat to its list of the 15 Coolest IoT Software and Services Companies.

One more thing

We missed this exciting achievement in our last post but in May, at the Internet of Things World Conference, the winners of the first-ever IoT World Awards were announced. Spanning 11 categories, finalists were honored for the best of the best in projects, products and people in the IoT ecosystem. Red Hat was recognized as a finalist in the Achievements in IoT Integration category for its multi-cloud architecture collaboration.

Congratulations to all that were involved in making these awards a reality. We’re excited to see what the end of the year brings!
