Red Hat Summit is approaching quickly and I’m excited to share that Jennifer Cloer, co-founder of Wicked Flicks Productions and executive producer of “The Chasing Grace Project,” will be joining us as keynote speaker at the 9th annual Red Hat Women’s Leadership Community Luncheon.
Taking place Tuesday, May 8, during Red Hat Summit 2018 in San Francisco, the luncheon provides an opportunity for attendees to network with other women in tech, share stories of inspiration, and hear the energizing stories of others.
For more than 15 years, Jennifer has worked with entrepreneurs, developers and tech executives at the forefront of some of the world's most disruptive technologies and helped tell the stories that define and drive them. In 2017 she co-founded Wicked Flicks Productions, a film/video production house that is currently in production on “The Chasing Grace Project,” a six-episode documentary series focused on challenges faced by women in tech and moving the needle towards a more inclusive environment. Each episode focuses on a different topic within the women in tech narrative, including the pay gap, online harassment, female entrepreneurship, access to jobs, career decisions, and the role of male allies. The inspirational series’ title has double meaning. It is both a nod to the grace the women featured in the episodes adopt in the face of adversity and in honor of Grace Hopper who’s strong spirit set the standard for women in technology. Red Hat is a sponsor of this important series and will also be sponsoring an upcoming screening event.
This is one of my favorite events every year and we're thrilled to host Jennifer at this year's Women's Leadership Community Luncheon, and to hear more about her career working with open source and technology organizations, the importance of raising awareness of the diversity divide, what she hopes to accomplish with “The Chasing Grace Project,” and ways to build a diverse and inclusive environment where all are empowered to achieve their full potential.
We invite all Red Hat Summit 2018 attendees to join us for this event and learn how they can engage more women in open source.
