We’re thrilled to announce that for the seventh consecutive year, the Red Hat Customer Portal has been named one of the industry’s "Ten Best Web Support Sites” by the Association of Support Professionals (ASP).

The ASP is an international membership organization for customer support managers, executives, professionals, and those interested in the field. Its prestigious "Ten Best Web Support Sites" competition showcases excellence in online service and support. Selected by a panel of judges with experience in web support design and implementation, winners were evaluated through a scoring system based on 25 separate performance criteria. Key criteria included overall usability, design and navigation; knowledgebase and search implementation; interactive features; community engagement; and site development strategy.

For the last seven years, the awards program has highlighted our continued development and advancement of Red Hat’s Customer Portal, from establishing and growing the platform to improving user experience and introducing new tools and services.

This year’s award submission focused on how we improved customization in the Red Hat Customer Portal to help customers better manage their open hybrid cloud solutions. As our customers seek to adopt open hybrid cloud strategies and technologies, they often want both choice and great support. To help them in this transition, we forged strategic cloud collaborations and created new tools and resources. One of our biggest innovations was the joint, integrated support between Red Hat and Microsoft. The new Red Hat Container Catalog and the industry’s first Container Health Index marked another breakthrough and is designed to help customers find more secure, up-to-date, higher-quality containers. We also wrote rules into our Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering, Red Hat Insights, to help customer environments stay more secure in this new container-based world.

Since 2010, the Red Hat Customer Portal has served as the online extension of Red Hat's subscription offerings, helping customers plan, deploy, and maintain their Red Hat solutions. Through the Customer Portal, users can access a vast amount of information spanning the entire Red Hat product portfolio. This includes information on support services; knowledge sharing and troubleshooting; software downloads; account management tools; and more.
