We’re excited to share that – for the second year in a row – Red Hat has been named to LinkedIn’s Global 100 Most InDemand Employers list. LinkedIn, considered the world’s largest professional network, announced the rankings at their 2013 Talent Connect conference held last week in Las Vegas. We ranked as the 84th most in demand employer close to other notable companies including Netflix, Samsung, ESPN, Siemens, IBM, and Spotify.
LinkedIn calculated this year’s list based on the analysis of more than 25 billion data points between LinkedIn members and companies. That data was then compared with surveys of thousands of members to determine a company’s familiarity and engagement score. LinkedIn’s analysis also weighed member actions like viewing employee profiles, visiting company pages and following companies. LinkedIn currently has more than 238 million members.
Red Hat, frequently lauded as a great place to work, was named by Business Insider in July as one of "The 25 Best Tech Companies to Work for in 2013". With approximately 5,900 employees and 80 offices worldwide, Red Hat is on track to hire approximately 600 net new employees worldwide for fiscal year 2014.
