We’re happy to share that Red Hat Virtualization has been awarded Best Virtualization Product in the V3 Technology Awards 2016. Red Hat’s open standards-based KVM virtualization platform was recognised by the V3 editorial team and its readers as an open, scalable, high-performance virtualization solution. The latest version of the product, Red Hat Virtualization 4, was released in August and helps organizations build a foundation for emerging and future technologies - including containerised and cloud-native applications - while integrating with existing IT investments.
Virtualization remains a key element of datacenter operations as organizations’ IT needs continue to evolve. Some just embarking on a virtualization deployment may want a complete, agile platform that embraces efficiency and open standards of interoperability. Others that have already deployed virtualization technologies may be seeking to address cost issues or boost innovation or future compatibility. We believe the award win speaks to our drive to address the range of emerging scenarios with Red Hat Virtualization 4.
The V3 win comes hot on the heels of Red Hat Virtualization being the only vendor positioned in the Visionaries quadrant of Gartner's August 2016 Magic Quadrant for x86 Server Virtualization Infrastructure.
Congratulations to the many teams across Red Hat whose efforts have contributed to the successes of Red Hat Virtualization this year.
