We are pleased to share that last week, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business recognized three Red Hat women for their outstanding accomplishments. The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are a worldwide awards program that honors the business achievements of female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations that they run.
Denise Dumas, vice president of Engineering, Operating Systems; Margaret Dawson, senior director of global Product Marketing; and Marina Zhurakhinskaya, senior outreach specialist, Community Diversity and Inclusion were all honored at an awards ceremony held in New York City on Friday, Nov. 18.
We are excited to share that Margaret took home the gold award for Mentor or Coach of the Year - Business, Marina took home the silver for Women Helping Women – Business, and Denise, who has been recognized by the Stevie Awards three years in a row, took home the bronze award for Lifetime Achievement - Business.
On the awards, Tim Burke, Red Hat's vice president of Cloud and Operating System Infrastructure, said:
"The Stevie awards showcase women's achievement from all around the world. Ranging from entrepreneurs to innovators to social leaders. It's an incredible showcase of results that inclusive teams can produce. This spirit of collaboration is the true ethos of Red Hat and the broader open source community - where teamwork and collaboration can result in far greater accomplishments than anyone could do alone. Denise, Margaret, and Marina are truly role models of collaboration, team-building, and inclusive culture. Red Hat is proud to have each of them recognized for the values they live every day."
Congratulations, Denise, Margaret, and Marina for your outstanding accomplishments and the work you do on behalf of Red Hat!
