Think you’ve got what it takes to become a Red Hat Certified Engineer or Red Hat Certified Technician? Pull out your prep books and get down to work! For the first time ever, Red Hat is offering the opportunity for a select number of registered Red Hat Summit attendees to sit for RHCE and RHCT exams free of charge during this year’s Red Hat Summit and JBoss World in Chicago, September 1-4, 2009.

For ten years the Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) program has enabled IT professionals around the world to prove their Linux competencies through a challenging and meaningful hands-on certification exam. Today there are nearly 40,000 RHCEs and 30,000 RHCTs as the program continues to grow.

The exams will be offered August 31 at the Chicago Red Hat offices. In order to be eligible, test takers must be registered for the 2009 Red Hat Summit and JBoss World with a valid confirmation number. Space is limited to 18 people each for one RHCE and one RHCT exam and will be determined on a first come, first served basis. For more information and to register for a chance to secure a spot, please visit here and have your Red Hat Summit confirmation number ready.

Good luck studying and we hope to see you in Chicago at Red Hat Summit and JBoss World!
