In-Person Event

From DevOps to DevSecOps the Open Organisation Way

November 27, 2018London, UKRed Hat UK Ltd, Peninsular House

Question: What is the definition of DevSecOps?
Answer: There isn’t one, it’s a change in mindset

We tend to think of security at the application and infrastructure level, but it's much more complex than that. In order to ensure the highest levels of security, it must be considered as part of the development process and toolchain as well.

More important even than these, however, is creating a culture which embraces risk management, embodying governance and regulatory requirements and automating so that rather than security being a last minute addition, it becomes part of the DevOps process at every stage and through every iteration.

This event we will demonstrate how Red Hat implements this approach the ‘open organisation way’. We will discuss how open organisations innovate. How culture aids innovation and how organisations can change their culture. We’ll also provide a sneak peak of our Open Innovation Labs.

During the event we will discuss:

  • What is DevOps?
  • What is DevSecOps?
  • Tools, process or culture - which is most important?
  • How do open organisations innovate?
  • How does culture help innovation?
  • How to build a strategy around innovation?

Jeremy heads up Red Hat's Open Innovation Labs in Europe, Middle East and Africa where he works with organisations seeking to accelerate innovation and transform their business models and technology landscape for the "Digital" era. Getting technology choices right is less than half the battle, organisational change and technology delivery can be far more disruptive and difficult to deliver. He’s a passionate believer in being default to open, whether that applies to code or culture.
