Jim Whitehurst is president and chief executive officer of Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source enterprise IT software solutions and services. Whitehurst is an avid advocate for open software as a catalyst for business innovation. With a background in business development, finance, and global operations, Whitehurst has proven expertise in helping companies flourish—even in the most challenging economic and business environments. Whitehurst has grown Red Hat and its influence on a variety of industries, by reaching key milestones—the most notable in 2012 when Red Hat became the first $1 billion revenue open source software company. Since joining Red Hat, Whitehurst has grown revenue from more than $500 million at the end of February 2008, to almost $3 billion for the company's 2018 fiscal year. Under his leadership, Red Hat was named to Forbes’ list of “The World’s Most Innovative Companies” in 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, and 2012; named to Fortune’s list of the Most Admired Companies for 2018; added to Standard and Poor’s (S&P) 500 stock index in 2009; named one of the best places to work by Glassdoor in 2016, 2014, and 2013; named to the first-ever Fortune Future 50 list in 2017; and added to the Forbes’ Global 2000 list in 2017. In addition, in 2018 Whitehurst was named one of the World’s Best CEOs by Barron’s. In June 2015, Whitehurst published a book with Harvard Business Review Pressentitled "The Open Organization: Igniting Passion and Performance" showing how open principles of management—based on transparency, participation, and community—can help organizations navigate and succeed in a fast-paced connected era. To date, the book has sold more than 42,000 copies; been featured in more than 130 press articles including articles from Fortune, Forbes, and Fast Company; and named one of the top 10 creative leadership books of 2015 in Forbes. During his six-years at Delta Air Lines, Whitehurst drove significant international expansion and as Chief Operating Officer, oversaw all aspects of airline operations—from sales to strategy. At The Boston Consulting Group, where he began his career in 1989, he held several corporate development leadership roles, working in the Chicago, Hong Kong and Shanghai offices, and as a partner in the Atlanta office with numerous clients across a wide range of industries.

Paul Cormier leads Red Hat's technology and products organizations, including engineering, product management, and product marketing for Red Hat's technologies. He joined Red Hat in May 2001 as executive vice president, Engineering. Cormier's leadership and experience in enterprise technology has led to the introduction of Red Hat's acclaimed line of enterprise products, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux®. He has been instrumental in forging tight partnerships with many leading technology companies. Before Red Hat, Cormier served as senior vice president of research and development at BindView, helping the company achieve market leadership in 2000.

Executive vice president, Global Sales and Services, Red Hat

Arun Oberoi leads Red Hat's Global Sales and Services organization, including Red Hat's commercial and public sector sales, channel, and alliance sales, as well as Red Hat's consulting services. He joined Red Hat in May 2012. Before joining Red Hat, Oberoi led and repeatedly built rapidly scaling businesses for multiple technology organizations, from start-up companies to midsized and multibillion-dollar global organizations. Most recently, Oberoi served as CEO of 2 high-growth start-up technology companies: Viridity Software, a datacenter infrastructure management company, and Aveksa, a leading access governance and management software company. Oberoi has led worldwide sales on multiple occasions during his career, including at Micromuse, a market-leading provider of high-end network management and service assurance solutions. After Micromuse was acquired by IBM, he led worldwide sales for the Netcool-Tivolis Software Group at IBM. Earlier in his career, Oberoi held several executive leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, including vice president and general manager of worldwide top 100 corporate accounts and industries, and vice president and general manager of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for HP's software business. As part of HP's software business, Oberoi led the development of a dedicated worldwide sales and marketing organization for the portfolio, which included HP's OpenView product, security, and middleware, and led the sales growth from initial stages to $1 billion in revenues.

Senior vice president and general manager of North America Commercial Sales, Red Hat

Kirsten Kliphouse is senior vice president and general manager of North America Commercial Sales at Red Hat, where she focuses on building strategies and collaborating with partners and customers to implement flexible open source solutions that help customers drive innovation in their own businesses. Kliphouse joined Red Hat in January 2018 with responsibility for sales, marketing, consulting, channels, and strategic planning. Kliphouse is a technology industry veteran, with business leadership and sales experience ranging from start-ups to the biggest software company in the world. Most recently, Kliphouse was CEO of Yardarm Technologies, a start-up in the IoT space. After beginning her career as a programmer and analyst, she moved into a sales role. She spent several years at Microsoft, starting as a sales account manager and progressing into sales leadership and general manager roles. Kliphouse left Microsoft as corporate vice president of the company’s worldwide Customer Support and Professional Services organization, but she previously served as vice president of Enterprise Software Sales and Consulting and general manager of the company’s OEM business.

Mike Kelly leads Red Hat's information technology (IT) organization as they provide the tools and technologies that enable Red Hatters every day. Before joining Red Hat in 2016, Kelly served in senior leadership roles from 2007 to 2016 at McKesson Corporation, including senior vice president of IT Shared Services, chief information officer of McKesson U.S. Pharmaceutical, senior vice president of Enterprise Application Services, and chief information and chief technology officer of McKesson Specialty Health, a division of McKesson Corporation. From 2005 to 2007, Kelly was chief information officer of Oncology Therapeutics Network.

Joe Fitzgerald is the Vice President of the Management Business Unit at Red Hat. Prior to this position, Joe was the co-founder and former CEO of ManageIQ, a leading provider of cloud management solutions, which was acquired by Red Hat and is now an integral part of the Red Hat Infrastructure portfolio.

Ashesh Badani

General manager, Cloud Product Strategy, Red Hat

Ashesh Badani is responsible for Red Hat's OpenShift Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) business unit. Previously, he oversaw product line management and marketing for Red Hat's JBoss Enterprise Middleware portfolio. Prior to joining Red Hat, Badani served as director of product management and product marketing of integration and application platform products at Sun Microsystems and has over 15 years of experience in the technology and finance industry in established and emerging companies. Ashesh received his Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
