Zenseact: Volvo and Zenseact's journey to developing self-driving cars with Openshift  (Room A)

Customer session: Zenseact

Developing safe autonomous driving technology isn’t just about complying with standards. It’s about teaching cars to see, think, and act like humans. Zenseact’s AI software is used by Volvo cars like EX90 and Polestar. In this session, we’ll walk you through how we build and deliver our software on OpenShift. Additionally, we’ll talk about how we've moved our CI system from a VM-only approach to empower our development toolchain using cloud-native technologies with Openshift, Ceph, Runai, and Kasten. We’ll also discuss how our development organization is creating a safer car. As developer enablement is key at our organization, providing the right toolset and ability have a huge impact on our development flow. We have been able to cut business-wide KPIs in half by implementing Buildbarn cache and remote execution among other services into Openshift. At Zenseact, we are working closely with our partners to ensure that our platforms perform at a high level and provide our developers with the resources they need.

Cloud Native Platform Owner, Zenseact

Opportunities to be gained from challenging silo thinking and taking an Enterprise wide perspective to IT Process Automation  (Room B)

Automation of IT assets often starts at a team level and naturally falls into silos. When you begin to think about end to end IT processes this silo thinking needs to be challenged and a more enterprise perspective taken. In this session we will explore some of the challenges this poses, the benefits that can be gained and the dependencies on people & processes, not just a technology platform. Also to be addressed are consideration of Day 1 & 2 operations and how the emergence of next generation technologies can be applied for even greater business benefit i.e. the integration of events into your automation strategy & architecture.
