Red hat at AWS re:Invent

Visit the Red Hat booth at AWS re:Invent 2022

Modern IT is hybrid IT. Your enterprise has infrastructure, platforms, apps, and tools from different vendors. Proprietary tools don’t talk to each other. And apps cross clouds slowly, weighed down by data. You need advancements in infrastructure, management, and development that bring your clouds together.

Connect with us to learn how together, Red Hat® and Amazon Web Services (AWS) give you the tools and technologies to adapt to market demands. Scale infrastructure and expand opportunities in line with your organization’s needs and business goals.

Speaking Session

Boston University Elevates Learning with Red Hat Openshift Data Science on ROSA

Abstract: Boston University Computer Science and Computer Engineering faculty uses Red Hat OpenShift Data Science (RHODS) on Red Hat OpenShift Services on AWS (ROSA) as a platform for enhanced learning, giving the students their own containerized Linux system, enabling both curriculum based and self explorations while greatly reducing the resources needed to support large classes. In less than a month, Boston University had scaled the environment to around 100 users, reaching 300 users during the semester. This interactive educational environment, including textbook, lectures and labs authored with JupyterBook and made publicly available as source on GitHub, enables Boston University to meet the needs of each class and dramatically drive down the cost of operations.

Speakers: Jonathan Appavoo, Associate Professor, Computer Science, Boston University

Chuck Svoboda, Senior Director Managed Cloud Services, Global, Red Hat

Kabilan Mahendran, AWS, Global Alliance Manager

Date and Time: Thursday, December 1, 12:30 pm-1:30 pm

Location: Mandalay Bay, Level 3 South, South Seas C
