Automating the enterprise with Ansible Automation Platform

Jump to section

As automation becomes more prevalent and configuration as code becomes more important to many organizations providing scalability, reliability, and repeatability is a key need to be addressed. The use of Ansible® execution environments and version control allows automation controller to execute jobs in an expected behavior with predictable and repeatable results. Through automation controller, Red Hat® Ansible Automation Platform allows enterprises to effectively implement complex and repeatable automation sequences. Automation controller provides the ability to create inventories, projects, and, most importantly, automation jobs through job templates.

In this Red Hat training webinar, we will use preconfigured resources in automation controller to construct a job workflow template with an approval node to simulate a DevOps pipeline and a deployment scenario modeling actual environments.

Using Ansible Automation Platform and automation controller, we will:

  • Create a simplified automation job template
  • Use existing job templates and resources to create a job workflow template
  • Demonstrate the approval process for job workflow templates
