Jump to section

Containers and public clouds are redefining IT infrastructures to be more scalable, flexible, and dynamic, but these technologies also introduce complexity in how administrators can manage and secure them.

Continuing with the regular cadence of releases implemented in Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 8, Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.4 is expanding on tools to help you manage container and cloud workloads while addressing security and optimizing performance.

  • Innovate: Application Streams and enhanced container tools give developers the flexibility to build where and how they need and easily deploy on Red Hat Enterprise Linux instances, even at the edge.
  • Transform: Image builder and container tools simplify and accelerate the transformation of workloads to the cloud and edge. Subscription portability removes friction and enhances manageability across all footprints, even the cloud.
  • Optimize: Performance co-pilot, web console, system roles, and Red Hat Insights services provide guidance and expertise for configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux instances and workloads to achieve optimal performance, increase efficiency, and streamline management at scale.
  • Protect: SCAP profiles, system roles and the Red Hat Insights vulnerability and compliance services help mitigate risk by identifying vulnerabilities and simplifying the enforcement of security configurations.
