Terms and conditions: Certification success stories

  • Must be a current Red Hat Certified Professional and write an essay that explains how your certification has assisted you in your career. The essay should be in English and 1,000 words or less. In submitting the essay you should consider ideas such as how your certification has assisted you in (i) delivering value (ii) technical and non-technical achievements; or (iii) solving a difficult technical issue for your company. Be sure to explain the situation, your solution and the result that was achieved because of your certification.
  • Essays will be void if they are in whole or in part illegible, incomplete, damaged, altered, counterfeit, manipulated or obtained through fraud. By submitting the essay you warrant and represent you are the sole author and creator of the essay, that your essay does not violate any applicable law, and that you have no reason to believe that your essay infringes or violates any intellectual property rights held by a third party.
  • If you are acting within the scope of your employment, as an employee, contractor, or agent of another party, you warrant that such party has full knowledge of your actions. You further warrant that you and your employer have no claim to or right of ownership in any work product created as part of the essay and that by submitting the essay your actions do not violate your employer's or company's policies and procedures. If you are under an agreement with your employer that grants your employer ownership rights in the essay that you submit, you should refrain from submitting the essay.
  • By submitting the essay, you must provide personal information in order for Red Hat to process your essay. By submitting the essay, you consent to the transfer of your personal information to servers in the U.S. And you agree to be bound by the Red Hat Privacy Policy located at: www.redhat.com/about/privacy-policy
  • By submitting the essay, you are granting Red Hat and its licensees an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license, for the duration of protection of the rights, to use, reproduce, distribute, translate, modify, publicly perform, publicly display and create derivative works from the essay that you submit in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without notice to you and without compensation.
