Program overview
Red Hat Storage One is a program that combines Red Hat Gluster Storage on certified partner hardware with a workload-specific quick-deploy utility powered by Red Hat Ansible Automation. It helps companies deploy software-defined storage (SDS) without having to design and deploy the storage for specific workloads. Just roll it in, power it on, and the utility gets the environment up and running in 30 minutes or fewer.
Use cases
Network-attached storage
Red Hat Storage One can be configured as a file-level storage architecture capable of storing data and sharing it across a network. This general purpose network-attached storage (NAS) solution is ideal for mixed file sizes, organizations that use their storage volumes in a variety of ways, and those that want to eliminate legacy storage silos. Because it uses the standard Network File System (NFS) and Server Message Block (SMB) file storage protocols, Red Hat Storage One will be familiar to both your staff and applications.
Content repositories
Red Hat Storage One can be configured as a content repository capable of storing large multimedia files and even data streaming. Red Hat Storage One clusters are optimized for large files and sequential throughput performance, making it ideal for enterprises in the telecommunications and media industries, or large enterprises handling rich media.
